Years ago, the parents of a child with special needs met with the principal of their son’s school and, in desperation, said these horrific words: "We wish our child had cancer!"

 The family of this child urgently needed support and there was none to be found. If their child had cancer, there were many different organizations that would fight over the "case", allowing the family to receive support on many different levels.

But with autism, there wasn't even one organization to help them!
